Mario is too Mainstream

It may seem strange, but whenever indie game dev gets too tough for me, I like to watch this video. It makes me laugh.  I good laugh helps me get back on track.

Magfest Update

Magfest was a grueling experience this year. I was not able to party or play many games, as I had to mind my table at the indie showcase. My alpha demo was out there for all to play, and I received a lot of brutal criticism. Despite my hardships, I am a better game developer for the experience. As of today, I have fixed all the bugs everyone had complained about at Magfest. I am assembling the beta demo.

Stay tuned here, as I will be recruiting playtesters.

Two ... Days ...

Well, my time has run out. Happy New Years to all! I'll be at Magfest soon. My demo is as ready as it will ever be. Special thanks to Mike Thal for providing music for this game! It will be hard to hear the music in the crowded convention hall, but it will be there all the same. Most of the sound in the game will be scratch tracks, but it should get the point across. Please tell your friends!

Two... Weeks...

Well I uploaded the new trailer on time, but there were problems. The game worked just fine, but the upload to Youtube just went haywire. Not only did it compress it to a 4:3 ratio, but it put it off center to the right. I have no idea what happened. I tried to second upload, but the same thing happened.

So, if anyone out there in internetland has some experience and can help me with this, please email me at mike at xanthous ray games dot com.

Moving on, I still have to get things ready for Magfest, so there will be a lot of stuff going on in the back here. I still need to print shirts, posters, flyer and buttons. It's going to be mad!  On top of that, there is a bunch of family stuff that is going down and I'm going to have to go out of state for a few days to deal with it.

Everyone please be patient with future updates.
